Rallying in Cyprus is a major event with thousands attending every year to watch their heroes and their cars race around the mountainous shale and stone roads of Cyprus.

 

Rally cars are very popular in Cyprus. The Island itself though does not yet have a legal race track. However, construction of Cyprus' first legal drift race track at Dasaki Achna near Xylotympou is due for completion in March 2008 and this will allow racing cars in Cyprus.

Hill climbing events are also extremely popular. They are held 5 or 6 times a year and are organised by the Cyprus FIA.
